The website packages

There are three, and every price is published on the pricing page. Starter is $990 for one page, live in 7 days. Standard is $2,490 for up to seven pages, live in 10 days, and you can edit it yourself. Complete is $4,990 for up to fifteen pages, live in 21 days, with booking or online ordering.

Included on all three: built to work on a phone first; your hours, address, map and tap-to-call; a contact form that emails you directly; your domain set up in your name; your Google listing claimed; hosting; and the rounds of changes listed for your package.

Not included: logo design, writing a full menu or price list from scratch, and anything on the add-on list such as accounts, payments or a customer portal. Any of these can be quoted, and you'll have the number before there's an invoice.

Complete also includes the first month of Growth upkeep at no charge. After that month it continues at the normal rate only if you want it, and you can stop it in any month.

The free draft

Send a link to your Facebook page or Google listing and I'll build a draft of your site from what's already public, at no cost and with no obligation. You'll get it within 48 hours of me starting it.

Five drafts are open at a time so that each one actually gets finished. A draft expires 14 days after I send it, and is deleted at that point. It lives on a temporary address that search engines are told to ignore, so nothing half-finished with your business name on it ends up in Google.

If you don't want it, you owe nothing and there is nothing to cancel. You never gave me a card.

Money and the clock

Every package is split the same way: half when you approve the draft and half when the site goes live. That is $495 and $495 on Starter, $1,245 and $1,245 on Standard, $2,495 and $2,495 on Complete. Both numbers are agreed in writing before anything begins.

If you take the monthly option instead, it is $299 a month for twelve months with nothing due to start, and month to month after that. It covers the Standard package, the hosting and the upkeep.

Changes beyond the rounds included with your package are $95 an hour with a one hour minimum, or they are covered by an upkeep plan.

I need your words and photos within 14 days of the deposit. After that the job returns to the queue and picks up at whatever the price is then.

Southbridge businesses take 10% off any package price, and the first three months of upkeep are free. It applies to any business with a Southbridge address, the rate is the same for everyone who qualifies, and it is not negotiated case by case. The discount applies to the package price, not to the monthly rate after those three months.

The seven days start when both your deposit and the information I need have arrived, not when you first call. That's the only condition on the date, and it's there because I can't build your page without your hours.

Invoices are sent and paid off this website: a Square invoice, a check, or Venmo, whichever you prefer. Nothing on 6mstudios.com takes a payment or stores a card, because it never touches one.

Hosting, and your domain

Hosting is free on every site I build, with no end date. Not free for the first year and not free until it renews. There is no hosting invoice and no renewal to forget.

"Free hosting" means for as long as 6M Studios is operating. If that ever changes you get at least 30 days notice and every file that makes up your site, so you can hand it to anyone you like. Your site is never something I am holding.

Your domain is registered in your name, not mine. You renew it yourself, which is roughly $15 a year and goes to the registrar, not to me. I manage the settings for you while you are with me, and you can move it at any time without asking.

The upkeep plan is optional and buys changes and support. It is not required to keep your site online. If you ever want to leave, you take the site and the domain and go. Nothing of yours is held as leverage.

Upkeep

Upkeep is $95 a month for Care or $250 a month for Growth, invoiced monthly, cancel in any month. Paid annually it is $950 and $2,500, which is two months free. It is optional, and nothing about it is required to keep your site online.

Care covers unlimited small changes sent by email, same-day on weekdays, plus security updates and a monthly traffic report. Growth adds new pages and new writing through the year, monthly posts to your Google listing, and priority over other work.

Without a plan, changes are $95 an hour with a one hour minimum, billed only when you ask for something. Hosting stays free either way.

Anything with a database, a login or payments carries $99 a month in addition, for as long as it is running, because software that holds your customers' information has to be kept patched.

"Small change" means text, prices, hours, photos, staff, fixing something broken, and the occasional new page. A full redesign, online ordering, new photography or a platform migration is quoted separately, and I'll give you the number before starting rather than after.

Cancelling upkeep does not take your site down and does not affect your domain.

Larger builds

Web applications are scoped in writing before any price is given, and then priced as one fixed number for that scope. If the scope changes, you get a new number to approve first. There is no hourly billing and no invoice you haven't already agreed to.

Anything involving real funds, trading, custody or prizes is your call to make with your own legal advice. I'll build what's agreed and I'll raise it every time it comes up.

Tape transfer

Every batch is quoted before work starts, and the quote holds. Turnaround starts once the tapes are in my hands. You own the finished files, and your original tapes are returned to you. If a tape turns out not to be readable, you are not charged for it.

The honest limits

I'm one person. If I'm going to miss a date you'll hear it from me before the date, not after it. I do not guarantee search rankings or traffic.
